Ryan requested that I find and post this picture of him and Poncho. Poncho deserves to be in the dog Hall of Fame. He was truly a great dog. He was gentle with babies (Ryan was a few weeks old in this picture) a good companion, smart, talented ( he could climb trees), obedient, and a great protector. He once pulled a door off the hinges to get to intruders. Ryan wants to get a dog, and is thinking of an Australian Shepherd. When I was just married, David wouldn't let me go to the grocery store at night unless I took Poncho with me in our Easter egg blue 1969 VW bug. ( We paid $.25 a gallon for gas in those days and $2.50 would fill up the tank and we were good to go for at least a week.)

Wow, what a cool dog. This pic made me think of Sadie, Jocey calling herself Amarilis, and Sunday night dinners on Bunting way...
