National English Toffee Day

Jocelyn and the Delgado boys came over to play this afternoon and she told me today is National English Toffee Day. Now, I personally think this is a BAD time of year to have such a day, what with New Year's resolutions and such, but after talking about it we just had to MAKE some. After a look in the pantry we were able to find all the necessary ingredients. Above is the finished product, below, how it appeared before refrigeration and the breaking up. Jocelyn does not like nuts on hers. I do. If you live nearby and want to help us celebrate ...come on over. We'll be happy to share if there's any left when you get here.

I randomly found your blog and was hoping to take you up on the yummy looking toffee. I was bummed to see you live in California. I'm just kidding, but I was wondering how big is Bakersfield? My husband went on a mission there.

I'm so impressed that you had all of the ingredients in your pantry! I would have had to go to the store and that alone would have ended the process. Looks yummy!

I haven't read your blog for awhile, I love all the updates! My grandma used to make English toffee and I love it! I think I need to start celebrating English toffee day. That sound like a wonderful holiday! My grandma also had a Brio train set, it was always our favorite toy. Your Christmas card is very cute! Jocelyn's nativity displays are amazing. And I laughed out loud at Ed's coloring style. Hope you guys are doing well, we hope to come see you all in a few weeks.
Love, Becky
